Liquid Filtration in the Cosmetics Industry
Have you ever thought about the process behind creating your favourite body wash or perfume? This applies to creams, lipsticks, eyeliners, lotions, colognes and perfumes, mouth washes, shampoos and more.
Even the raw materials, ingredients and additives demand various degrees of filtration from clarifying filtration to final-polishing filtration prior to shipping.
During production of the product itself, contaminants such as haze, salts, particulate, and other additives that may have been added for the refinement of liquid cosmetics have to be removed. In some cases, liquid filtration is also used for decolorization for the presentation of a clean, clear product.
